    About the Position: This advertisement is for the position of the Student Trainee (Office Automation) GS-0399-04 position with the HQDA OFC ASST SECY OF ARMY (FM&C). Is a not-to-exceed 30-SEP-2019 position with the option of extending for one additional year. This position is located at the Pentagon or Fort Belvoir VA.

    This position is temporary and there is NO promotion potential beyond the grade that you are selected for during the entire time period you are employed under this announcement.

    Responsibilities

    • Pathways Internship positions provide for development and training. Assignments become more responsible as incumbent increases knowledge and skills through work experience and academic training. At the full-performance level, you will be expected to:
    • Prepare a wide variety of recurring correspondence, internal reports, and other documents from information obtained from the staff,files, and other sources.
    • Provide information that addresses routine and procedural issues.
    • Review and process incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives.
    • Screen incoming mail to identify the appropriate office, supervisor, or contact to direct the mail.
    • Track and set suspense dates prescribed by management.
    • Use varied functions of multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents.
    • Establish, update, and maintain office records of various types.
    • Receives telephone calls and greets visitors.
