    The primary purpose of this position is to provide a student trainee with on-the-job training and guidance to further student technical development.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs elementary tasks, assignments, operations, or procedures for portions of difficult studies and projects by application of basic theory and principles in the technical area of engineering.
    • Participates with senior personnel in conducting non-routine projects.
    • Provides assistance in planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects, and initiatives.
    • Uses computer/computer software such as information management programs, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, and project tracking programs to assist senior personnel in solving engineering problems and facilitate the work.
