    This position is located in Facilities Management Division, Mission and Readiness Support Directorate.

    Serving as a Deputy Division Chief (Facilities Management) makes you a valuable managerial member of the FLETC team and mission.  You will provide facilities management oversight relative to the purview of Facilities Management Division (FMD). Typical assignments include:

    • Directing and supervising operations of the division's subordinate branches; exercising day-to-day oversight of the activities of division personnel through subordinate supervisors.
    • Performing technical reviews of project-related documents to ensure generally accepted engineering principles are followed; overseeing the development and updating of proposed projects, work order requests, and real property initiatives.
    • Compiling the Annual Glynco TDP Project list that incorporates Procurement, Construction and Improvements (PC&I) projects and the Fiscal Year (FY) Operations and Support (O&S) projects; coordinating the compilation of and managing the PC&I list and O&S list for all FLETC TDPs; and guiding and/or advising from project initiation through project completion.
    • Assisting with developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and other higher headquarters guidance as it pertains to the purview of facilities management.
    • Ensuring the development of timely responses to routine, periodic data calls from MRSD and higher headquarters (e.g., FLETC senior leadership, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) staff, etc.).

    Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary. Some work may require periods of walking, standing, bending, climbing, or driving a motor vehicle in activities such as inspections of installed equipment and visits to construction sites and other business establishments. Employees may carry light items such as books, instruments, and other similar materials. The work does not require any special physical effort.

    Work Environment: The work is usually performed in an office setting. The work area may involve occasional exposure to conditions on construction sites requiring normal safety precautions.
