Responsibilities


 

Key responsibilities

  • Execute the communications strategy for the studio and its titles to support overall go-to-market plans. Act as a leading, positive influence in the team to develop ideas and campaigns that connect with players at scale in a meaningful way.
     
  • Partner with other leads, bringing a range of programmes to life across channels in engaging, impactful ways that help the studio meet its goals. Incorporate wider teams’ needs into communication planning & scheduling.

 

  • Build content that connects players and the community with the development team. Establish the community as a major stakeholder in the development process and provide the studio with regular, actionable feedback from players as well as report on community sentiment.

 

  • Share insights with internal stakeholders and partner studios to foster a culture of learning and community engagement.
     
  • Mentor and develop the community team to deliver world-class communications across social media, community, email, in-game messaging and online editorial. Encourage the team to use data to derive insights and drive performance across all channels. Foster a positive, collaborative and can-do culture.

 

  • Collaborate closely with our Xbox PR partners to create a PR strategy that tells our story engagingly and coherently.
     
  • Build strong working relationships across Xbox marketing, PR, marcomms and Xbox Game Studios.
     
  • Grow our channels by increasing reach, developing ongoing communication opportunities and providing a platform for content sharing and word of mouth.

Qualifications


 

Required skills & experience

  • An ability to connect with players at scale in a meaningful and stand-out way. You’ll know how to tell a coherent story across multiple owned and earned channels.
     
  • A keen strategist with a proven ability to execute, you’ll have lots of ideas on how to innovate and provide our players with engaging experiences.
     
  • Analytical, able to draw insights from data and feedback that inform ongoing strategy and help the team be better.
     
  • You’ll love to try new things and learn.
     
  • Plugged into gaming, internet, and pop culture. A love for games is a given!
     
  • Great at building relationships and working with people including communicating with diverse teams, growing and mentoring a team and collaborating with people across the wider Xbox and Microsoft business
