DSRE is looking for a seasoned security engineer to be part of the end point security and vulnerability management team. As service engineer your core responsibility will be to keep all the end point systems free from the vulnerabilities and to make sure that the connecting devices are healthy from security prospective. You will closely work with the PG team, project managers and  IT  service team in a  partnership  which will allow complex security controls, to be developed, automated, and deployed in a manner that provides a high level of assurance on their effectiveness.

Responsibilities


1. Working on end point security controls and vulnerability management which affect cloud services and infrastructure. This includes understanding the attack vectors, behaviors, and tools that are being used in the wild as well as the most modern defenses.
2.Partner with engineering teams and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and convert into actionable, built in SRE principles and efficient technical projects. 
3. Drive and influence the design, writing and delivery of security solution to improve the availability, scalability, integrity, latency and efficiency of the end point security controls.
 4. Identify and/or analyze problems relating to mission critical services and manage the building of automation to prevent problem recurrence, with the goal of automating response to all nonexceptional service conditions. 
5. Ensuring activities are planned and managed proactively, in line with roadmap or requirements and to finish projects as per schedule. 
5. Identify opportunities and drive the implementation to improve service health, manageability, reliability and telemetry. Own, triage, investigate and resolve service issues with an emphasis on broad communications, learning & teaching throughout the process.
6. Read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities for platforms. Author functional and technical documentation. Communicate on a deeply technical level with product engineering, project management and operations teams to improve and optimize products, improve infrastructure, and evolve services.


Qualifications


5+ years of work experience of Cybersecurity in practice, including defense and offense techniques. 2. Deep and broad understanding of security vulnerabilities and attacks (Hardware, Firmware, Software, Network, and People), and the ability to understand new ones based on new technology being developed. 3. Good understanding of large enterprise IT infrastructure, and cloud platforms like Azure.  4. Relational and NoSQL database technologies such as SQL Server,  Azure Log Analytics, Azure Data Lake, spark, Databrikcs etc. 5. Deep understanding of system internals on MacOS, Windows, and Linux 6. Background in malware analysis is preferred. 7. Experience automating and developing with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, PowerShell. 8.  Good development experience using data query, analytics, visualization technologies such as SQL, Kusto, ADL, PowerBI etc. Ability to create insights from large quantities of data using these technologies. 9. Good understanding of information security concepts. 10.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
