    This position is located in the Corporate University, Dallas, TX of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of learning and development.

    * Assist with the enrollment process to include maintaining automated databases of participant records.

    *  Perform administrative functions for the overall implementation of courses including logistics associated with scheduling classes and instructors.

    *  Assist in monitoring tests and evaluations.

    * Assist in recommending ways to enhance efficiency and quality through innovations and improvements in the way work is done.

    *  Assist in drafting instructional materials.  Supports development of finished products.

    *Collaborate with other areas to ensure comprehensive training products fulfill the client needs.

    Qualifications

    Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.     To qualify for this program, applicants must: (1) be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree seeking program at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis; (2) have a minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.50 out of 4.0; and (3) be in good academic standing.

    Education requirements are established by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and must be met by the closing date of this announcement.  Below are the requirements by grade:

    For CG-4: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or associate’s degree.

    For CG-5: Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree.

    The applicants selected will be offered an excepted appointment not-to-exceed 1 year, which may be extended as long as the selectee remain eligible for the appointment.  After successful completion of the program requirements and based on FDIC’s needs, the employee may be non-competitively converted to a Term or Permanent position.  However, service in the FDIC Internship Program confers no right to further employment in the competitive or excepted service.
