    About the Position: Position(s) will be filled under the Department of the Army Pathways Recent Graduates Program. Click here for more information on Pathways program participation. After Program completion, Department of the Army Recent Graduates MAY be converted to a permanent position or to a term position (a project-based term of employment lasting between one and four years).

    Applicants can be selected at either the GS-07 or GS-09 level. The target grade of this position is GS-12.

    Responsibilities

    • As an Auditor you will be responsible for the following:
    • Serves as agent of the commander on matters involving regulatory requirements, statutory provisions, procedures, or problems arising from changes in mission, programs, or organizational structure that require examination by a financial professional.
    • Performs quick response audits, audit readiness and sustainment, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up.
    • Audits automated accounting and financial systems and identifies the need for changes to enhance system capability to track and report financial events and operational data used by local management.
    • Utilizes professional accounting and audit skills to maintain oversight for implementing appropriate laws, directives, and regulations of internal control programs and procedures.
    • These duties are described at the full performance level of GS-12. The duties at the GS-7,9,11 level are developmental leading to such performance.

    Occasional travel – Business travel is approximately 5 percent.
