Technical Reference Model Author, Junior
Maintain responsibility for conducting independent research and analysis on technologies and standards requested for use by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) government personnel and contractors on the VA network. Develop and maintain technical evaluation documentation consisting of document templates, standard operating procedures, training materials, and wireframes and checklists used for conducting technical evaluations. Maintain responsibility for identifying process improvement opportunities for business processes and or system features or performance within the Technical Reference Model (TRM) and reporting that to the support team and customer. Participate in internal quality assurance activities, share authoring lessons learned across the team, and incorporate them into process documentation.
-Knowledge of technical and policy analyses, online research, SharePoint customization, including document writing, metrics development and reporting, and business process modeling notation
-Ability to provide administrative, research, process facilitation, and management assistance support to the TRM and governance processes
-Ability to support VA subject matter experts (SMEs), and analyze draft products for each stage of the TRM process
-Ability to create executive presentations, perform technical assessments of tools and products, create or reengineer business processes, business rules, and workflows, and develop training for the authoring research role
-Ability to draft technical assessment reports, draft policy response memos and reports, provide analysis, and develop reports for ad hoc requests
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
