Evercore's mission is to attract and retain the most talented individuals of varied backgrounds who reflect the global marketplace that we serve. In support of this mission, Evercore Houston is hosting a virtual invite-only Sophomore Diversity Seminar designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates who identify as Black, Hispanic, Native American, LGBTQ+, Female, US Veteran, or First Generation College Student an inside look into energy investment banking. We are seeking intelligent, ambitious sophomores with the desire to learn about working in finance and the energy industry.

Evercore’s Houston Energy Team has 75+ energy advisory professionals and is the leading ranked advisor, having advised on 220+ energy M&A transactions since 2014 across the upstream, midstream, downstream and oil field services verticals. The Houston office is also leading the firm-wide initiative to expand Evercore’s coverage of clean energy focused firms and the energy transition more broadly.

The Seminar will include senior leader speakers, case studies, informational panels and networking. This educational event will offer students insight on the energy investment banking industry, Evercore, and more specifically our Houston Summer Analyst Program, which we hope you will consider for the 2022 summer internship following your junior year.

This is a unique opportunity to meet Evercore Houston representatives and gain the necessary tools to make an informed decision about your future internship & career experiences. Seminar Event Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate – Sophomore (Class of 2023)
  • Falls into a category traditionally underrepresented in the banking field including: identify as Black, Hispanic or Native American, Female, LGBTQ+, US
    Veteran, First Generation College Student 
  • Interest in finance and energy (e.g., relevant coursework, work experience, activities)
  • Demonstrated leadership activities
