Among the list of large French, Spanish and Italian Financial Institutions (covering Banks, Insurance companies and Asset Managers), the intern will assist the team in charge of the following tasks:




  • Financial analysis of covered clients.
  • Prepare credit papers in order to present various financing opportunities to local committees and calculation of deals’ profitability.
  • Prepare and coordinate pitches for FIG clients on various subjects.
  • Prepare client notes ahead of meetings to the bankers.
  • Punctual sector-based analysis and weekly review of sector news.
  • Follow-up of clients relationships in relation with Standard Chartered network (mainly in Asia, Africa & Middle East).
  • Interaction with product teams based in Paris, London, New-York, Hong-Kong and Singapore (DCM, Global Markets, Project Finance, Loan Syndication, Transaction Banking…).
  • Assist senior bankers with intelligence in the normal course of business.
This internship is for student, BAC 4/5 from French “Ecole de Commerce” or University who are willing to:
  • Work in team in a international / multicultural environment.
  • Gain a valuable experience in Corporate & Investment Banking.
  • Get an exhaustive overview of Investment Banking products (corporate finance, capital markets, structured finance, transactional banking, project finance).
  • Understand the refinancing strategy of major French and Belgian Financial Institutions.
Particular education background / knowledge needed:
  • Studying towards a Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering degree (or similar) from a top business or engineering school.
  • Strong financial background, analytical capabilities.
  • MS office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Team spirit, enthusiasm, curiosity, flexibility.
  • Ability to take initiative leading progressively to autonomy on some specific tasks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and French
