    Summary

    Join the staff of the Bureau of Reclamation as a Student Trainee (Administration and Office Support).

    This position is located with the Bureau of Reclamation, Division of Human Resources in Sacramento, California. You must be able to report to this location for duty no later than four weeks from the date of tentative offer in order to be eligible for this job opportunity.     Responsibilities

    Serves as a Student Trainee (Administration and Office Support).

    -Performs a variety of office support work and assists staff with general clerical duties.
    -Provides assistance to the Human Resources Assistant scanning documents, updating spreadsheets and building files. 
    -Types and proofreads a variety of documents and forms, checking for typographical errors, format inconsistencies, and incomplete material. 
    -Assists with setting up and closing out recruitment files and locates information from files as requested. 
    -Performs routine data entry into pre‑existing databases.
    -Operates copy machine and fax machine, shreds and scans documents as necessary.

    This is a temporary student internship opportunity under the Pathways Program. The major objective of the Pathways Program is to employ students, giving them a chance to work in a Federal agency and resume or continue their education without interruption caused by financial pressure. Students appointed may work part-time while school is in session and full-time (depending upon the needs of the agency) when students are on a vacation period or whenever the school is officially closed.
