The Bureau of Consular Affairs, Miami Passport Center (CA/PPT/MM) serves U.S. citizens intending international travel through passport issuance, while protecting the integrity of the U.S. passport as proof of U.S. citizenship at home and around the world.
As a (Student Trainee) Passport , GS-05, you will:
- Provides specific support for higher-graded staff in the administration of the U.S. passport program.
- Assignments of this position include: performs administrative assignments of limited complexity, related to the administration of the U.S. passport program.
- Reviews passport applications and applies basic guidelines and evaluative techniques under the guidance of higher-graded specialists.
- Collects additional data from appropriate government offices as instructed; identifies conflicting information. Resolves obvious discrepancies and records data for final review by more senior staff.
- Recommends approval of straight forward applications. Notes significant discrepancies in data, or missing data, and refers these issues to higher-graded staff or the supervisor for resolution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
