    The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) is a world class national user facility regarded as the foremost neutron research center in the United States, serving over 2,000 research participants annually.   NCNR is seeking a Student Trainee (Engineering).

    This is a Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways Program.

    Intern will be assigned engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration, and drafting. Problem solving opportunities will range from brand new design component/assemblies to upgrades of components. Intern will also be asked to reverse engineer assemblies and document existing assemblies in CAD. Intern will work closely with one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments; and, have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day working of engineering

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Conferences, meetings and training.
