    Summary

    About the Position: Serves as the Military Personnel Technician in support of a personnel actions and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch. Duties require incumbent to perform administrative personnel actions in such functional areas as: Transition, Retention, Retirement and Separation, USAR Board Support, entitlements, benefits, awards and decorations, and corrections to military records.

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications and the internet.
    • Identifies a need; gathers, organized and maintains information; determines its importance and accuracy, and communicates it by a variety of methods.
    • Use governing guidance to input actions into the automated personnel system to document personnel actions. Create, file, maintain, and safeguard personnel records.
    • Geo-technical competency within the Education and Training series.
