    Salary: $16.83 per hour (Step 01) to $21.87 per hour (Step 10);

    Responsibilities

    The USGS Maryland/Delaware/District of Columbia Science Center is seeking associate, undergraduate and graduate level student working towards a degree in Business or Administration and Finance to gain practical experience inbusiness and administrative management.

    As a Student Trainee (Administrative Support) you will serve in a trainee capacity, performing routine and recurring development assignments to acquire knowledge and understanding of functions, principles, practices, and methods used in the routine administrative practices.

    Duties include:

    • Receive visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and prepare office correspondence.
    • Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment.
    • Maintain office records, according to the established filing and records management procedures.
    • Other administrative duties as assigned.
