    Summary

    DON Pathways Internship Program

    You will serve as a Student Trainee (General Engineering) in the Engineering Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

    Responsibilities

    • You will work under the supervision of a senior engineer/naval architect and/or the supervisor.
    • You will assist senior engineer/naval architect in the accomplishment of their responsibilities.
    • You will provide recommendations to senior engineers/naval architects and/or supervisor for consideration.
    • You will perform shipboard investigations with senior engineers/naval architects and/or the supervisor.
    • You will develop recommendations and the initial formulation of technical positions for items investigated and provides them to the lead engineer/naval architect and/or supervisor for review.
    • You will complete shipboard assignments and investigations that can involve sea trials.
    • You will frequently consult with the supervisor or a higher graded engineer on any deviations, problems, or unusual situations
