Environmental Curriculum Developer and Instructor

Key Role:

Develop a curriculum that covers all aspects of environmental policies, regulations, and spill prevention, detection, and response.  Create Hazardous Waste Handler course to meet Japan and overseas regulatory requirements and incorporate Marine Core Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni’s specific program requirements.  Provide environmental representatives with a means to access environmental training, smartbooks, emergency contact numbers policies, regulation, and examples on the job site.  Develop and publish a training schedule for all tenants of MCAS Iwakuni to include an automated process for class registration and certification.  Develop and publish an automated compliance tracking system to manage tenant unit compliancy, required remedial action if out of compliance, and when validation of corrective action will occur. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in DoD curriculum development and training courses

-Knowledge of DoD environmental regulations, policies, and implementation

-Knowledge of DoD training methods, standards, and techniques

-Ability to instruct classroom portion of the courses of approximately 40 to 60 hours lesson time to include lecture, tabletop and practical application exercises, guided discussion, and hands-on training to reinforce learning objectives

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
