Job Title:                    Research Intern (1 Year Contract)


Job Description:


The Research group provides business intelligence services to Blackstone’s business units. This group supports the firm with qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on a broad range of topics, from industry research to analysis of macroeconomic trends and financial markets. The group supports the full range of Blackstone’s activities, and works closely with the deal teams throughout the deal process and in their on-going industry coverage efforts.


The Research Intern will work on qualitative and quantitative research including fact finding, financial analysis, competitive analysis, due diligence, macro-economic analysis and data sourcing across multiple industries. Tasks include data retrieval and analysis, collating company information, industry overviews, identifying financial market trends, macroeconomic benchmarking and analysis.



  • Highly motivated, intelligent, and pragmatic individual that has demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours
  • 1 years of experience of research based work in a professional services or financial services environment
  • Strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and research skills, including innovative thinking and creative problem solving
  • Strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure 
  • Experience in global workflow including collaborating with remote teams is preferable



Requires a BA or BSc degree, preferably in Economics or Finance.

European or Asian languages would be a plus, highly recommended, but not necessary.
