Job Description:

The internship will offer exposure across our illiquid, private capital strategies in Europe, which include distressed, special situations and performing. The majority of the businesses we invest in see us deliver value as a private equity like sponsor and hence the role will include private equity style due diligence and analysis.

Interns are generalists and participate in all aspects of projects and can expect to work on a number of assignments at one time. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, deal teams are typically small and interns are therefore expected to assume important and integral roles. Interns are intimately involved with screening, analyzing and structuring of investment opportunities and regularly attend client and internal meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

Responsibilities:

Typically, work will include private-equity style due diligence and financial analysis, modelling, research, competitive analysis and benchmarking, development of presentations, assistance in the execution of transactions, and drafting of investment memoranda. As well as being involved in specific investment processes, candidates will help lead individual research projects, focused on either specific industries or companies.

Qualifications:

In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have a strong academic track record, strong English communication skills, and a desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure. Prior investment banking or buy-side internship or comparable is a prerequisite as well as solid knowledge of accounting and finance and relative value.

Availability and Application Process:

Ideally, the successful candidate would be available to start in June / July, for a period of 6 months, however the team can be flexible for the right candidate.

If you would like to be considered for this position, please apply on our careers website. Applications will be reviewed and interviews conducted on a rolling basis so we recommend applying as soon as possible. Interviews will take place in the London office.
