    Responsibilities

    As a Budget Technician within the Upper Midwest Water Science Center (UMID), some of your specific duties will include:

    • Reviews and processes a variety of commitment and obligation documents.
    • Work with administrative and/or project personnel within the immediate organization.
    • Analyzes and examines budget records to resolve unusual transactions or discrepancies.
    • Prepares a variety of recurring accounting reports and responds to request for accounting information, source and supporting documents and other kinds of information.
    • Maintains, controls and reconciles accounting transactions and records for multiple accounts.
    • Enters new cardholders and approving officials in the bankcard adjustment table in order to
      maintain a database of all valid cardholders and their associated default cost structures.
