    Responsibilities

    This position serves as a Student Trainee (Administration) at the BLM National Training Center (WO-730).  Major duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Uses office automation software and equipment to type, edit, and format letters, reports, technical documents, charts, graphs and/or forms. Establishes and maintains a variety of office files. Researches files, reference materials, databases and the internet for information needed by office personnel.
    • Produces error-free documents, ensuring correct punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and grammar.
    • Ensures that final documents are formatted and arranged in conformance with established correspondence, publication, and office procedures.
    • Receives incoming telephone calls. Answers inquires related to general policy, programs, and activities of the office.
    • Sends, receives, and distributes email and other documents related to office operations.
    • Prepares travel authorizations, vouchers, and other standard office forms.

    This is a not-to-exceed (NTE) appointment and at the expiration of this appointment, or whenever services are no longer needed, the selectee will be terminated from Federal service.

    KSA 3: Knowledge of software package functions and features to review and format letters or other documents, enter, revise, sort, correct, retrieve, and extract data/information from automated systems for reports.
